Just a reminder: CTW is meeting this week.
The ‘In Courage’ Newsletter – This Week: “Communication Connection: How to Write Right”
Proverbs 18:16 A man’s gift makes room for him
And brings him before great men. New American Standard Bible (NASB)
One way to make sure that your gift brings you before the really great bosses (and really great clients and customers) is to learn how to present it correctly. Using sloppy communications is like delivering an engagement ring in a greasy lunch sack. So join us on Thursday, and exchange that poor wrapper for a winning package.
Next Week: “Inter-Galactic Invitational Resume Skeet Shoot”
All I can say is, you really, really, really, really, really don’t what to miss this.
While it’s true that you have to decide exactly how you do your resume, the feedback you get from the team at your table — during this exercise — will fuel and inform your decisions about how to do, what to do, and everything else on your resume.
This is like expert car detailing for your resume.
From an earlier ‘In Courage’: Self-Discovery
While you are Finding Your Focus, be sure to share what you are doing with your significant other, because, especially they will worry about why you are spending any of your time, much less substantial amounts, in self-discovery. You need to tell them, because, even if you do, they will still worry that you are not using your time wisely. My wife gave me permission to share this quote from her journal, from my earlier job-hunting days:
“If Rick isn’t ready for interviews (i.e., has appointments) by the end of November, I’ll really be worried. How much time does it take to figure out what one should be doing? He’s been out of work for more than 2½ months.
“Perhaps he’s too spread out: are all these classes & meetings really helping him to get where he needs to be?”
Well, they did, but she couldn’t know that then, and, for that matter, I wasn’t so very sure myself. So Find Your Focus, but keep your spouse in the loop, and let them know why you are doing what you’re doing.
That’s it for this week. And may the God of hope fill you with hope!
All the best,
