The Invisible Interviewer is somebody who, of course, you don’t see when you go into an interview.
Let’s say that you have one person sitting across the table from you, asking you questions and engaging in a conversation. You may not realize it, but there’s somebody else in the room.
Now, of course, you don’t see The Invisible Interviewer, and maybe they’re not really in the room. But here they are there, that person’s boss or they are that person’s investor. They’re the person that the interviewer has to convince after the interview is all over that you are the man or the woman for this job. And so, when you’re talking to the interviewer, remember the invisible interviewer. Remember that the things you say, the way you act and the way you dress needs to speak not just to the person to whom you are talking, but to the person who is their superior or who is going to have to be approving their decision to hire you.
So…
Talk Up. Dress up. And look up.
